Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum oral antibiotic used for dogs and cats to treat dermatological infections, respiratory tract infections, and urogenital infections. This macrolide antibiotic works by inhibiting bacterial growth. This medication kills bacteria by preventing bacteria from producing the proteins needed for growth. Antibiotics like Azithromycin are not an effective treatment for viral infections, such as flu or colds. Azithromycin is available on Vetito veterinary pharmacy in tablets and as a liquid suspension. Tablets and suspension are given orally and can be given with or without food.

Azithromycin 100 mg/5 ml or 200 mg/5 ml .

Indications for use

Azithromycin for Oral Suspension is indicated for specific types of infection caused by bacteria, including:

  • Skin infections
  • Lung infections
  • Ear infections
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Pneumonia
  • Bronchitis

Administration and dosage

Use as prescribed by your vet.

  1. Tap bottle to loosen powder.
  2. Add water to the bottle as indicated.
  3. After mixing, store suspension at room temperature.
  4. Oversized bottle provides extra space for shaking.
  5. After mixing, use within 10 days. Discard after full dosing is completed.
  6. Shake well before use.

Tip: Administer directly into your pet's mouth with an oral syringe or mix with a small amount of food.
