Product description

Albuterol Sulfate is a bronchodilator prescribed by your veterinarian to treat bronchitis, asthma, cough or other respiratory conditions in cats, dogs, and horses. Albuterol works by relaxing the airway muscles and improving the flow of air to the lungs, which open up the airways in your animal’s lungs to make it easier to breathe and alleviate bronchospasm or cough. Bronchospasm occurs when the airways go into spasm and contract. This makes it hard to breathe and causes wheezing. Bronchospasm can also cause frequent coughing without wheezing.

Benefits:

  • Helps treat bronchospasms, asthma, emphysema, and more
  • Tasty, strawberry flavored oral syrup
  • Easy to administer

Active ingredients

Albuterol Sulfate 2mg/5mL.

Inactive ingredients: citric acid, FD&C Yellow #6, flavor enhancer, hypromellose, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, strawberry flavor. Sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH.

Indications for use

Albuterol is used principally in cats and horses to alleviate bronchospasm or cough. True bronochoconstriction is rare in dogs, but when present, albuterol may be useful.

Albuterol also works to prevent emphysema and asthma symptoms.

Administration and dosage

Give this medication as directed by your veterinarian.
