Product description
Vitamin K1 is a supplement that contains the ingredient phytonadione, a vitamin that helps blood clot better and helps prevent bleeding problems. It is used to counteract the signs of hypoprothrombinemia, a disease characterized by a deficiency of the blood-clotting substance prothrombin, which can lead to uncontrolled bleeding. Hypoprothrombinemia is induced when your pet ingests coumarin compounds found in commercial rodenticides (rat poison). Vitamin K1 is available in tasty beef-flavored chewable tablets for cats and dogs. The chewable tablets are affordable and convenient to dose: they are scored to provide flexible and accurate dosing. Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets are recommended for use in follow-up therapy, only after administration of Vitamin K1 Injection and hospitalization is no longer required. Available in two strengths: 25 mg for cats and dogs that weigh 11-22 lbs, and 50 mg for dogs that weigh more than 22 lbs.
